This firearm was manufactured in the late 19th century for export to Africa, Madagascar and the near eastern countries.
It is a trade gun. Bannerman sold them as late as 1927 and advertised them as relics of Waterloo. 9 barrel. No front sight, lock and barrel polished white some years ago. Brass fittings. Proof marked Crown over DN and serial stamped EY16. Wooden patch added under lock.
A nice piece from the 19th century from merchants trading in and out of Africa and the near east.
