WW2 R.C.N.V.R. Sub Lieutenant Jacket

Named Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve Jacket to an Officer

The "CANADA" shoulder flashes are bullion metal. The buttons are all marked, "Scully LTD., Montreal". Tailor tag on inside breast pocket is named to; Sub. Lt. D.C. Carter, Jan.12/_4 (believe the other number to be a 4 - very difficult to read)

After researching we found that this officer's name was Douglas Claude Carter (T/S. Lt.). Commissioned in 15/9/44. He served on board the HMS West York (Corvette) 11/02/45 - 07/45.

This beautifully tailored officer's jacket is in excellent condition with no rips, tears or moth damage.
Note that there is some loose stitching on the left inside armpit area.
